Hi,

Haven't been on for a while, but can't understand why a feel so naff at the moment. Two months ago i was given ritixumab although i won't be having anymore as i can't tolerate it.I did think it would give me some relief for the next few months, but i'm feeling dreadful my joints are not really swollen they are hot and i hurt all over.I haven't felt this bad in ages don't know if anyone else has experienced this as was told this was one of the best drugs out!
Sorry just needed to tell someone and have a moan,i'm a bit fed up as this is the fourth drug i have failed.

Hi Poppy

You are obviously feeling so terribly poorly now as nothing is controlling the inflammation, you must of course be feeling pretty low as nothing so far has worked for you although I m sure you will find the right one eventually many of us are in similar boats too. What are you taking at the moment to try and help, and do you know what is the next course of action ? In the NRAS biological book, if you have a negative rheumatoid factor you are not likely to do so well on ritiximab ( mentioned this to my consultant the other day) so as I am, will be now trying Cimziz, infliximab didn t help at all.

Look forward to hearing from you, and hope that you start feeling a little better very soon.

Hello Poppy

So sorry that you are feeling so poorly at the moment. I understand how you must be feeling, I
started Humira last month had 3 injections so far, and I have been having lots of side effects.
It really does get you down doesn;t.

Are you able to have steriod injection to tide you over ? Perhaps give your RA nurse
a call.

Keep posting even if it is to let of steam. (I am also at the mo)

Love Rose

Hi,

Thanks for your replies.
Jenni i worry about getting a second opinion, could make things worse! It's the pain in my back and ribs that are really bad at the moment and my knees are really sore and keep locking.
Sorry i sound like a right misery, maybe i need to treat myself to a glass of wine tonight!!
Love poppyxxx
